On January 6, 2016 at 2140 hrs NHPD responded to a residence in the 200 blk of E Main St in New Holland Borough for a possible cardiac arrest.  The dispatcher advised a female may have overdosed on Heroin.  New Holland Police responded to the call along with New Holland Ambulance, Wellspan Ephrata Medic Units and Garden Spot Fire Rescue.  NHPD Officers arrived on scene and confirmed a heroin overdose.  NHPD administered NARCAN to the female and provided oxygen.  NHPD administered a second dose of NARCAN and the female regained consciousness.

The female was transported by New Holland Ambulance and Wellspan Ephrata Medic unit to a local hospital in stable condition.
