The Millersville Borough Civil Service Commission is seeking energetic applicants to fill full-time Patrol Officer positions and is offering a $5000 sign-on bonus.   

The Borough of Millersville, a growing community next to Lancaster City in historic Lancaster County is looking for Act 120 certified police officers. Millersville is home to Millersville University of Pennsylvania, a pleasant college community that feels like home to everyone.
The combined population of the permanent residents and college community is approaching 15,000 and offers plenty of diversity and opportunity for all interests.  The borough officers work 12-hour rotating shifts that provide every other weekend off and enjoy a generous fringe benefit package.    

SALARY

• Starting salary is up to $81,052 commensurate with experience.  A new contract with future pay increases to be determined this year. 
• The Police Department also offers a unique career development program that includes bonuses of up to $2500 per year for voluntary participation by patrol officers
• Longevity pay is standard for years of service within the department

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• United States Citizen, be at least 21 years of age
• Have successfully completed Act 120 or currently enrolled in an Act 120 program, or equivalent training and possess current certification, or have eligibility for certification by the M.P.O.E.T.C.
• Valid PA driver's license
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Physically and mentally fit to perform all duties, as per MPOETC regulations
