Shooting on the 1st Block of West Orange St.
On 3 July 2021 at approximately 213 am Lancaster City Police Officers were dispatched to the 1st block of West Orange Street for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located multiple casings in the 1st block of West Orange Street. Three adult males and an adult female had been transported in private vehicles to a medical facility for gunshot wounds. The shooting occurred shortly after bar closing and there was a disturbance before the shots were fired. Members of the Lancaster City Bureau of Police are actively investigating this incident, including identifying and speaking to witnesses. No suspect(s) have been identified at this time.

Update: July 5th 2021
Three of the victims in this incident were treated for their injuries and have been released from the hospital. One victim remains hospitalized, and is recovering from very serious injuries. The Bureau is still investigating what led to the shooting and exploring the possibility that there may have been two subjects firing firearms and are working to identify those individuals. It is unclear if all of the victims were intended targets or were mistakenly struck by gunfire intended for someone else. No subjects are in custody related to this incident.
The Bureau is making progress with the investigation. Detectives spent much of the weekend gathering and reviewing video footage from around the downtown area, as well as interviewing witnesses. Detectives are still trying to locate additional witnesses and ask that anyone who may have information about this incident to please contact us.
