Over the past several weeks, members of the Lancaster Bureau of Police Selective Enforcement Unit (SEU) conducted an investigation into the sales and distribution of Heroin. This investigation focused on the 1st blk. W. Clay St and 1st blk. W. New St. It was believed that the two locations were linked in the distribution of Heroin.
Through the course of the investigation the SEU determined that persons involved were staying at and using a condemned property on the 1st blk. W. New St. to conduct their drug sales.
On Friday October 18, 2019 members of SEU continued the investigation. During that time, several people were seen coming and going from the condemned property on W. New St. A call was placed to Lancaster City Housing and it was confirmed that the property was still condemned and that no one was permitted to be inside the residence.
Officers checked the property on W. New St. and found (4) adult males inside the home. The males were placed in custody for Criminal Trespass. Drug Paraphernalia was seen in plain view inside the home. Officers applied for and were granted a Search Warrant for the home.
The search yielded approximately (102) baggies of Heroin, quantities of Cocaine, Marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
As a result of the investigation all (4) males that were arrested inside the home were charged with Criminal Trespass (F3), Possession With Intent to Deliver- Heroin (F), Possession Cocaine (M), Possession- Marijuana (M) and Possession Drug Paraphernalia. All (4) males were processed on the Criminal Complaints and held for arraignment. All (4) were later committed to LCP in lieu of bail.
