Reporting person/victim had her 1999 White Jeep Cherokee in front of the "Save A-lot" (S Queen Street side) and was loading her groceries in her vehicle when she was approached by an unknown suspect who began helping her load her groceries into her vehicle. She went back into the store to return a bag of rice that had a hole in it. She stated that she believes this unknown suspect had somehow gotten her keys. When she came out of the store, her car was no longer there.

OCCURRED 11/04/2019 AT 1158 HRS
Officer responded to a reported theft at the listed location which had just occurred on the listed date and time. Officer met with the Loss Prevention Manager, who was waiting in the Food Court with the female suspect. Suspect was then escorted to the Loss Prevention Office and the Loss Prevention Manager explained what he had just witnessed to the Officer. He observed the suspect, a cashier at Boscov’s, placing a $50 bill on top of her register. Suspect then placed the bill inside a blue cash pouch and proceeded to the management office for change. On the way, suspect was seen reaching into the cash pouch and retrieving something before dropping it off at the management office. The money in the pouch was counted and fifty dollars was discovered missing. Suspect admitted to having a $50 bill in her wallet and gave it back to the Loss Prevention Manager. No charges were filed against the suspect but she can no longer enter the Boscov’s store at this location.

OCCURRED 10/30/2019 AND 10/31/2019 AT 1500 HRS
Officer took a report of two separate incidents of retail theft that occurred on 10/30/19 and 10/31/19 at the listed location. Reporting person stated a light skinned black or Hispanic male walked out of the store without paying for two pressure washers on 10/30/19 and a Dewalt planer on 10/31/19. In both instances, the suspect placed the items on a flat cart and walked out of the store without paying for the merchandise. Investigation is ongoing.

Officer responded to a reported retail theft at the listed location which had just occurred on the listed date and time. Officer spoke with the Loss Prevention Staff member who stated a male suspect was observed concealing a pack of Oragel in his left jacket pocket. The suspect then proceeded to the pharmacy counter to pick up a prescription and exited the interior doors of the store, when he was stopped and confronted about the stolen product by the Loss Prevention Staff member. Suspect was identified as Matthew Close, W/M/N of King St., Lancaster, PA. Close returned the product and was charged by the Officer with Retail Theft before MDJ 02-2-04.

Officers spoke with the Loss Prevention Officer who stated that that a White Hispanic Female after paying for her medication at the Pharmacy counter was observed selecting a package of medication from off a nearby display shelf and a can of Folgers and concealed these two items into her black colored backpack. Suspect was identified as Jeannette Huertas, 61, of 300 block of N Marshall St., Lancaster, PA and was charged with two counts of Retail Theft before MDJ 02-2-04.

Subject had other items on her person which were discovered after she was getting booked.

Michael George Homer W/M/57 yrs old of 300blk Ashford Drive, Lancaster PA was arrested and charged with Possession Drug Paraphernalia and Littering after the Subject was observed by an Officer sitting on at listed location. The Subject was observed by the Officer drop something that was similar to hand-rolled cigar. The Officer approached the Subject and asked him to lift his foot which he did not and was arrested after the Officer could see what was a makeshift pipe.

Reporting person / Victim reported his black, 9mm, semi-automatic, Taurus G2C Pistol was stolen between the listed dates and times. Victim stated he had placed the firearm in a drawstring backpack, placed it in his car and drove to Lancaster County Park to play basketball on 11/11/2019 at 1430 hours. Victim stated he left the backpack on the side of the court while he played basketball until 1900 hours. The victim then drove home and parked his car in his locked garage without checking his backpack until 11/12/19 at 1700 hours, when he discovered his firearm was missing.
