
On Thursday August 27, 2020 members of the Lancaster Bureau of Police Selective Enforcement Unit (SEU) assisted members of PA State Parole. State Parole had initiated an investigation for a Parole violation committed by William Lopez Jr. M/32 of Lancaster City. Parole agents went to Lopez's place of employment and detained him in relation to their investigation.
Other Parole Agents had established surveillance outside Lopez's residence. Agents observed Jasmin Rosario attempt to remove contraband from the residence on the 400 blk. N. Queen St. in Lancaster City. Parole Agents contacted SEU for assistance as suspected controlled substances and a handgun were observed in the apartment.
SEU responded and initiated their investigation. SEU seized approximately (424) grams of suspected marijuana and a Smith & Wesson .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun. The serial number had been obliterated from the handgun.
After consultation with the Lancaster County District Attorney's Office, charges were approved for Lopez and Rosario. Both were transported to the Lancaster Bureau of Police station to be processed on the complaints. Bail information was not available at the time of this press release.
