2111006597 Fatal Vehicle Crash Investigation

On Saturday 6 November 2021 at around 4:38 pm there was a vehicle crash at the intersection of S. Prince St. and Farnum St.  Anthony Tirado, male, 20 years of age, a Lancaster Township resident, was traveling Southbound on S. Prince St. approaching Farnum St. on a street legal Honda motorcycle. A Kia sedan traveling West on Farnum St. stopped at the stop sign then proceeded into the intersection. The motorcycle struck the Kia sedan and Mr. Tirado sustained serious injuries as a result. Mr. Tirado was conveyed to a local hospital for treatment but sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away on Sunday the 7th of November. According to the preliminary results of the investigation, speed was a factor. 

This incident is still under investigation by Officer Kevin Baker of the Lancaster City Bureau of Police and Lancaster County Crash Team. At this time, the identity of the driver of the Kia sedan will not be released. When we are able to update this release and provide additional information we will do so.
