On Tuesday February 25, 2020 at approximately 2118 hrs. Officers from Lancaster Bureau of Police, Platoon A, responded to the 700 blk. Manor St. for a report of a shooting.
While Officers were en-route they were advised that the shooting victim had been taken from the scene by private vehicle. Off. Yoder located that vehicle and followed to the hospital. The victim, a 20 year old male resident of Lancaster City, was able to be helped out of the vehicle. The victim had a single gunshot wound to the rear hip area. The victim received treatment for his injury and is expected to recover.
Additional Officers responded to the area of Manor St in order to determine the scope and location of the crime scene. Officers located spent shell casings and found that (2) parked/unoccupied vehicles had been damaged by gunfire.
Officers canvassed the area for additional evidence, witnesses and surveillance camera locations. As of the time of this press release no suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made.
