On Wednesday March 3, 2021 at approximately 0152 hrs., Officers from Lancaster Bureau of Police, Platoon B, responded to the area of Columbia Ave. & Pearl St. for reports of shots fired. Officers arrived and began checking the area. People in the area told Officers that it sounded like the shots came from the area of W. King and N. Pine St.
As Officers were en-route to check W. King & N. Pine Sts. they were advised that a male with a gun shot wound arrived at the hospital by private vehicle. Additional Officers responded to the hospital. When they arrived, a second victim arrived at the hospital by private vehicle.
The victim that was first at the hospital is a 27 year old male resident of Lancaster City. That victim sustained a gun shot injury to his lower back/hip area.
The second victim is a 24 year old male resident of Lancaster City. That victim sustained a gun shot injury to his right arm.
Both victims are in stable condition and are expected to survive their injuries. The victims area known to each other and were together at the time they were shot.
Officers located spent shell casings near the intersection of W. King St. and N. Pine St. Officers canvassed the area for suspect information, additional victims, witnesses, evidence and potential video surveillance locations.
No suspect information is available as of the time of this press release. Detectives are conducting follow up investigations into this incident.
