Around 5:22 pm on July 5, 2025, Lancaster City Bureau of Police officers responded to a reported shooting incident in the 500 block of S. Christian St. Once officers arrived, they quickly located an adult male victim who was taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect, Miguel Ramos, 17, was taken into custody shortly after the incident was reported, at approximately 5:45 p.m. At this time, it is believed that Ramos and the victim knew each other.

Miguel Ramos is being charged as an adult with the following offenses: attempted homicide, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, possession of a firearm by a minor, carrying a firearm without a license, discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, flight to avoid apprehension, and possession of marijuana.
