
West Hempfield Township police are asking the public for help in identifying a suspect who broke into a vehicle at a county park and used cards inside to withdraw money from the victim’s bank accounts.
An unknown suspect broke into a parked vehicle at Chickies Rock County Park in the 800 block of Chickies Hill Road sometime between 6:05 p.m. and 7:12 p.m. on June 21, 2025. The suspect stole the victim’s purse and its contents from inside the vehicle.
Months later an unidentified suspect depicted in the attached photographs then used the victim’s identification card to withdraw cash from the victim’s account at two financial institutions in Lancaster and Parkesburg, Pa., on Sept. 3, 2025.
