Vehicle Accident on Willow Street Pike

At approximately 0803 AM, West Lampeter Township Police responded to a vehicle crash in the 1100 block of Willow Street Pike.   A Pennsylvania State Trooper had come upon the crash which involved 3 separate vehicles.   The Trooper began rendering aid to the occupants as needed and continued to assist WLTPD with the investigation on their arrival.  One of the vehicles involved was a Red Rose Transit Authority bus.  The bus had 3 passengers aboard at the time.   The other two vehicles were passenger cars.  The driver of the bus and a driver from one of the additional vehicles were transported by EMS from the scene to a local hospital for treatment.  At the time of this release, the crash is still under investigation.  What is known is that the bus was travelling North towards Lancaster City.  A southbound vehicle crossed over the center yellow divider lines into the path of the bus and struck it head on.   This passenger vehicle then spun around to face Northbound and was struck by a separate Southbound vehicle.   Crash is still under investigation.
