
The 2022 holiday season marks the 75th anniversary of the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program!
The Toys For Tots program was started in 1947 by Major Bill Hendricks, USMCR (actually, the Major’s wife was the inspiration behind it!) to collect toys to donate to America’s less fortunate children. The Marine Toys For Tots Foundation was started in 1991 as a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit charity to help run and support the program.
For over seven decades, the Program has evolved and grown exponentially having delivered hope and the magic of Christmas to over 281 million less fortunate children. West Lampeter Township Police will once again participate in the Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots program. From now until December 8th, we will be collecting new, unwrapped toys to donate to Toys For Tots.
