Toys for Tots collection date extended!!
A big shout out to everyone who has donated to Toys for Tots this year!! The good news is that there’s still time to give! We will continue to collect Toys for Tots until Monday December 16th at 5PM. Thank you to all of our residents and visitors who have contributed to this great cause!
The West Lampeter Township Police will once again participate in the US Marine Corps Toys For Tots program.
From now until December 6th, we will be collecting new, unwrapped toys to donate to Toys For Tots.
The Toys For Tots program was started in 1947 by US Marine Corps Reserve Major Bill Hendricks (actually, the Major’s wife was the inspiration behind it!!) to collect toys to donate to America’s less fortunate children. The Marine Toys For Tots Foundation was started in 1991 as a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit charity to help run and support the program.
If you would like to help us help the less fortunate children in our community, we have Toys For Tots boxes at the following locations: The West Lampeter Township Building (852 Village Road), Morr Outdoor & Range (2488 Willow Street Pike), Lancaster Harley-Davidson (308 Beaver Valley Pike), Main Street Closet (2842 Willow Street Pike), Dollar General (Kendig Square), Lampeter United Methodist Church (1101 Village Road), Lampeter Church of the Brethren (1900 Lampeter Road), Kmart (Kendig Square), Allstate Insurance (2918 A Willow Street Pike), Lampeter-Strasburg School District (1600 Book Rd), Lancaster County CTC (1730 Hans Herr Dr.), Lanco Federal Credit Union (2516 Willow Street Pike), Members 1st Federal Credit Union (2538 Willow Street Pike) and RV Value Mart (2718 Willow Street Pike).
Please help us help those in our community who are less fortunate by donating a new, unwrapped toy to this great cause! Thanks!
