As many of you know, National Night Out (NNO) is traditionally held the 1^st Tuesday of August.  Based on the advice of the National Association of Town Watch, this year we postponed NNO until October because of COVID-19.   It takes a tremendous amount of planning, resources and community commitment to organize this event.  We typically start the planning in the spring. 

Because the Commonwealth is still under restrictions and because we are not sure when they will end, we don’t think that it would be fair to commit the community resources for an event that we may not be able to hold.  So, unfortunately, we are going to have to postpone NNO until next year.  We truly hate to do this, as we look forward to seeing and spending time with our awesome community at this event.  We know these are difficult times right now and we want to connect with our community now more than ever.  However, we do need to take into considerations all aspects.  We do appreciate your support.  To paraphrase The Terminator, “We’ll be back”!
