FREE Community Meeting on Cyber-Related Crimes
Educators, parents, professionals and anyone interested in learning the laws and facts about posting should attend this free community meeting.
Sarah Fritz, the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office
Community Outreach Coordinator, will present:
A brief overview of the laws that cover cyber-related crimes, specifically regarding image sharing and what are commonly known as sexting and sextortion.
·Participants will leave with a better understanding of several social media platforms and ways that people – both young and old – can safely engage with them.
·When can a child be charged as a juvenile? Kids age 10 and older for unlawful posting.
·How does the county seek to find the "original source" of a harmful or illegal post?
·What are some legal aspects of parents posting their children online?
