On Sunday 27 September 2020 at 1:12 AM the West Lampeter Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of Old Lampeter Rd for a shooting. Officers arrived and located spent shell casings in the street and bullet holes in a dwelling on that block.
A male victim showed up by private vehicle at Lancaster General Hospital with a gun shot wound to his buttocks. He advised staff he was at a party in West Lampeter Township when he was shot. He was admitted to LGH with non-life-threatening injuries.
A male juvenile victim from Coatesville showed up by private vehicle at Brandywine Hospital and advised he was shot at a residence in West Lampeter Township. He also had non-life-threatening injuries.
The dwelling is an Air BNB rental and it was reported there was a large gathering at the property prior to the shots being fired. There may have been an altercation just prior to the shots being fired. There were no subjects in the house when police arrived.
A male juvenile was located in the block when officers arrived and was arrested for possessing a firearm without a license and committed to the Lancaster County Youth Intervention Center.
This is an ongoing and active investigation. Anyone with information regarding the gathering or the shooting is asked to contact the West Lampeter Township Police at 717-464-2421. There is no threat to the neighboring public at this time.
