Help us Identify Retail Theft Suspects

The pictured female entered the K-Mart Store at 3975 Columbia Ave on 12/22/19 around 1536 hrs and stole just under $300.00 worth of merchandise. If anyone recognizes the subject, please contact Ofc. Christopher Pfeiffer at 717-285-5191 or pfeifferc@whtpd.org

Officers and Patriot Towing participate in Good 2 Give program
For the 3rd year in a row, Officer Bart Hollis has coordinated efforts with Farmdale Elementary and Mountville Elementary Schools to participate in the “Good 2 Give” program. The program “gives back” to our community and is a helping hand to families who need a boost at Christmas time. Board Promotes Corporal Douglas L. Ober
During the October 1, 2019 West Hempfield Township Board of Supervisor’s Meeting, the board recognized Corporal Douglas L. Ober for his exemplary performance and officially promoted him to the rank of Sergeant.
Sgt. Ober has been with the West Hempfield Township Police since February of 2002. Prior to joining our department, he was a police officer at Manheim Borough Police for 5 years.
FIVE-O-BINGO Event
Follow up story – “FIVE-O-BINGO”
On Sunday, June 23, 2019, Tara Ney sponsored a purse bingo event for the West Hempfield Township Police Department to help offset the associated costs with the up fitting of our Humvee for departmental use. Through her tireless work, her devotion to our department, she was able to present a check for the project in the amount of (just over) $5,000, to West Hempfield Township Police Chief Lisa Layden.
