On Thursday, August 3, 2017, at about 11:23 AM the West Hempfield Township Police Department were dispatched to the Weis Markets Store, located at 1786 Columbia Avenue, Columbia, PA 17512, for a theft by deception complaint.  

A Weis loss prevention officer reported that on Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at about 6:30 PM the unknown black male pictured in the photographs had purchased a bottle of soda and presented a large denomination bill to a service desk clerk, and requested additional change during a quick change scheme. 

The unknown male left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash, and as a result the store reported a loss. 

The unidentified male left the area in a silver mini van travelling west on Columbia Ave. (Rt 462).
