On Thursday, September 15, 2016, at approximately 0202 hours, officers from the West Hempfield Township Police Department responded to the Mountville Turkey Hill Store, which is located at 320 East Main Street, Mountville Borough, for a robbery.

Officers learned from the store employee, and by viewing the Turkey Hill Store surveillance footage that a thin build, black male, between 5’-6” and 5’-8” tall, who appeared to be wearing all black clothing and a black or dark grey hoodie that was tied close to his face had entered the store and demanded money from the Turkey Hill Store employee.

The store employee informed police that she was in the office area of the store when the subject approached her at the office, and had demanded money from the store employee.

The store employee informed police that the subject did not display or threaten the store employee with a weapon during the robbery.

The employee complied with the subject’s demands, and that the male exited the store immediately with an undisclosed amount cash.

There were no customers in the store at that time, and no one was hurt during the robbery.

It is unknown at this time if the subject acted alone.
