On Friday, September 21, 2018 at 0103 hrs; Officer Richard Bowermaster observed a vehicle driving erratically on Rt 462 and began to follow the vehicle. After observing the vehicle traveling a short distance and observing the vehicle continuing to drive erratic, Officer Bowermaster stopped the vehicle on College Ave in Mountville Borough. The driver was identified as Monte B. York, Jr (39) of Mount Joy. York was observed to be intoxicated and failed field sobriety testing. He was taken into custody and transported to the police station for further testing and processing. At the police station, York submitted to a breath test and the result of 0.199% was obtained. York is being sent a summons for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol (2 counts) and Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked.
York is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a Court of Law.
