**UPDATE – Arrest made in Robberies of Turkey Hill stores in West Hempfield Township and Columbia Borough**
On Sunday, January 5, 2020 in the early morning hours, officers were dispatched to the Turkey Hill located at 1199 Prospect Road in West Hempfield Township for a robbery that just occurred. Officers responded and learned a male subject had entered the store, assaulted the clerk and forcibly took money from the store. The suspect was identified to be the same subject that had just committed a similar robbery of the Turkey Hill on Chestnut Street in Columbia Borough moments prior to our robbery.
Through the tireless efforts of officers/detectives from both Columbia Borough and West Hempfield Township Police, a suspect was identified in this case and an arrest was made on Thursday, January 16, 2020 for both robberies.
Timothy D. Jenkins (52) of the 400 blk of Locust Street is charged with the following offenses by Detective Sergeant George Brace, Jr: Robbery (F1); Terroristic Threats (M1) and Simple Assault (M2) for the incident at the West Hempfield Township Turkey Hill.
He faces additional charges from Columbia Borough Police, Officer Dan Bell for the following offenses; Robbery (F1); Terroristic Threats (M1); Simple Assault (2 counts)(M2) and Tampering with Evidence (M2)
Jenkins was transported to the Lancaster County Prison and later arraigned on all charges. His bail was set at $750,000. He is also being held on a detainer for a Parole Violation.
Jenkins is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a Court of Law
