On Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at about 9:45 PM, an officer from the West Hempfield Township Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Rt 30 for an equipment violation.
During the traffic stop officers learned that 28 year old, passenger, Corey Elizabeth Haney, of Bristol, PA, had a bench warrant through Bucks County, PA.
Haney was placed into custody without incident.
Officers recovered several empty wax paper bags in Haney's jacket. Officers recovered crack pipes, a syringe, and numerous amounts of empty wax paper and clear zip lock baggies from the vehicle.
Haney admitted to the officers that she owned the drug paraphernalia that the officers found during the traffic stop.
Haney was transported to the Lancaster County Prison and held on the Bucks County, PA bench warrant.
On Thursday, May 10, 2018, the West Hempfield Township Police Department filed the following charge against Haney at MDJ Miles Bixler's Office in Columbia, PA: One count of Possession of drug paraphernalia Section 780-113 A32 (M).
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
