On Sunday, June 17, 2018 officers received information that 39 year old, Rafael Gonzalez-Paulino of Lancaster, PA who had an outstanding arrest warrant that was issued by the court for the Manor Township Police Department, would be travelling in a red GMC Jimmy SUV in the Oak Hollow Drive and Oswego Drive area of the township.
Officers from the West Hempfield Township Police Department located Gonzalez-Paulino driving the reported GMC SUV, and then had attempted to stop him.
Rafael failed to stop the vehicle.
Rafael finally brought his vehicle to a stop on Franklin Road in the area of Shultz Road, about 2 miles from where he had begun to flee from the police.
Rafael was then placed into custody without further incident.
Officers from the West Hempfield Township Police Department transferred custody of Gonzalez-Paulino to Manor Township Police Department
On Monday, June 18, 2018, the West Hempfield Township Police Department filed the following charges against Gonzalez-Paulino at MDJ Miles Bixler's Office: One count of Fleeing or attempting to elude police officer Section 3733 a (M2), One count of Unauthorized transfer or use of registration Section 1372 a 3 (S).
All individuals are assumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
