
Law Enforcement Recognition Ceremony
Philadelphia, PA – Officer Jeremy Sorensen and members of the East Cocalico Township Police Department were recognized today with Certificates of Appreciation from the United States Attorney's Office of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Officer Jeremy Sorensen, Chief Darrick Keppley (ret) East Cocalico Township Police, Interim Chief Steve Savage East Cocalico Township Police, Officer Roger Kreisher (ret) East Cocalico Township Police Department and Benjamin M. Jacobs FBI, were honored at a special ceremony hosted by US Attorney Jacqueline C. Romero. All the officers were recognized for their participation in the apprehension, arrest, and prosecution of Isaiah Walker. Isaiah Walker was one of two defendants that on April 8, 2019, robbed the Univest Bank in West Earl Township at gunpoint and made off with $117,000 in cash. Officers quickly responded to the robbery and the defendants were spotted and pursued by East Cocalico Township Officers. The defendants’ vehicles hit speeds of 100 mph while fleeing from the police. Officers deployed stop sticks, which the defendants struck, thus disabling their getaway vehicle. The defendants were immediately apprehended afterwards and the stolen money from the bank was fully recovered.
