Mental Health Awareness Month

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we want to bring attention to the cause. "1 in 5 U.S. adults experience mental illness each year and less than half receive the help they need" (YWCA).

The event will be held at West Earl Community Park: 189 S. State Street, Leola, PA 17540, on Friday, May 26th from 5pm to 8pm.

There will be free ice cream and mental health awareness organizations from Lancaster, PA. They will talk to you about their services and organizations, provide brochures, informative handouts and giveaways.

Lastly, there will be therapy animals, including "Franklin" who is a miniature therapy horse along with others.
