Snow Emergency Declared for Strasburg Borough and Strasburg Township

In light of the winter storm forecast for Lancaster County, Strasburg Borough and Strasburg Township have declared a snow emergency beginning at 6 pm on Friday, January 22, 2016.  Please remove vehicles from streets and roads to allow snowplows to do their work without risk of damage to parked vehicles. Residents can help keep the community safe by shoveling snow away from fire hydrants near their homes, not blowing snow into the street, and limiting travel so that roads remain open for emergency vehicles. In Strasburg Borough, parking lots will be open at First Presbyterian Church, Wesley United Methodist Church, Strasburg Jaycee Park, Strasburg Borough Office, and Bachman Funeral Home. Borough ordinances require that you have your sidewalks cleared within 24 hours of the end of snowfall, or you may be cited. Thank you for your cooperation, and stay safe during this weather event.
