National Night Out August 1, 2017

Come one, come all to this year's National Night Out event hosted by West Lampeter Township Police Department. On Tuesday August 1, 2017 our National Night Out will be held once again at the Lampeter Fairgrounds from 6-9 p.m. Officers from West Lampeter, Strasburg Borough, Southern Regional and possibly Quarryville will be present. Also present will be members of Lampeter and Willow Street Fire Departments, Lancaster County Park Rangers, Lancaster County S.E.R.T. and more.

There will be free food, music, games and more thanks to our sponsors and partnership with Target! Emceeing the event will be DJ Chuck Colson, who will also be spinning some tunes. Back again this year is the riding bull, train barrel rides and sport acitivites for the kids. We have a handful of returning vendors and some new vendors as well.

From 6:30-7 p.m. the Friends of the West Lampeter Township Police Force will be holding an auction on a painting done by Roy Peters, a local artist. Then, from 7-7:30 p.m. the Sheriff Department's K-9 Demonstration will be held at the arena. Following that will be the dunk tank attraction, where neighbors will have the chance to dunk our own West Lampeter Township Police Chief Wiczkowski, Strasburg Borough Police Chief Echternach and Joe Darrenkamp of Darrkenkamp Markets. To end the night, Pyrotechnics will shoot off fireworks for all of Lampeter to see!

We are thrilled that this is our 10th year hosting an amazing event for our wonderful community and we hope to see you all there!
