Nicholas Sears turned himself in on said warrant and at the preliminary hearing on January 17, 2019, Sears paid the full $5,000.00 he owed to the victim. The charges were subsequently dismissed with the consent of the victim.
Nicholas Sears has been charged with 2-Felony counts related to theft for failing to complete work as a self-employed contractor for which he received $5,000 to complete a task. The work was never done and the money was not returned to the main contractor for the project. Officer Aaron Haun obtained a felony warrant for Sears, who is believed to have moved out of the area.
