Since public access to the NLCRPD headquarters facility is restricted until further notice, all public access to the Drug Drop Box has been eliminated until the lifting of access restrictions. No alternative drop locations have been identified.
The NLCRPD patrols have cleared the scene of a crash with two vehicles and a horse and buggy combination previously reported in the 900 block of the Lititz Pike in Warwick Township. No persons or animals were injured as a result of the crash. Normal traffic conditions have been restored in the vicinity.
NLCRPD officers are on the scene of an overturned buggy that was dragged by the horse hitched to the rig. The buggy was in the area of the AT&T Store on Route 501 near the Target at the Shoppes of Kissel Hill Shopping Center venue.
PennDOT to Replace Newport Road Bridge in Penn Township, Lancaster County
Project expected to be completed by mid-May
Harrisburg, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that its contractor has begun to replace the bridge that carries Newport Road (Route 4030) over Boyers Run in Penn Township, Lancaster County.
The bridge, which is located just west of Sanctuary Road, and southeast of Locust Lane, closed this morning. A detour will be in place using Lebanon Road (Route 72) and Elizabethtown Road (Route 4008).
As a result of citizen complaints concerning the failure to remove snow in compliance with the Warwick Township ordinances, the NLCRPD is immediately initiating enforcement of the ordinance requirements.
