East Petersburg Police Service Delivery By NLCRPD Begins on January 1, 2020
The NLCRPD will begin police services delivery to the residents of the Borough of East Petersburg commencing at midnight January 1, 2020. This means that East Petersburg Borough will join Clay Township, Penn Township, and Warwick Township as partners within the NLCRPD primary jurisdiction. The NLCRPD serves approximately 42,000 residents and is the largest regional police department in Lancaster County and is the only accredited regional police department in the County.
NLCRPD Receives Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission Accredited Status
The Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department was recently awarded the approval of the Pennsylvania Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission (PLEAC) as an accredited law enforcement agency. This award was presented to Chief David Steffen and the NLCRPD Accredation Manager Sergeant Josh Kilgore at the annual Pennsylvania Chiefs of Police Education and Training Conference formal dinner banquet held on July 16, 2019 at the Kalahari Pocono Mountain Resort.
Lost Dog? UPDATED FEES, April 2019
UPDATED FEE SCHEDULE: On April 11, 2019 the NLCRPD has imposed the following fees related to the unification of a dog to its owner. First Offense, $75.00 if licensed - $100.00 if unlicensed & prosecution for unlicensed dog. Repeat Offense, $175.00 if licensed - $200.00 if unlicensed & prosecution for unlicensed dog. Any dog transferred to the PSPCA that is later claimed by the owner will be charged a $350.00 minimum fee for all instances.
