NLCRPD Station Phone Number Used in Scam Calls

NLCRPD Officers received a call last evening that our Station phone number of 717-733-0965 was used to text the reporting party stating they had a warrant for their arrest and that money needed to be sent right away to stop the Police Officers from coming to their home.  THIS IS A SCAM - please do not give out your information to anyone over the phone that you do not personally know or can absolutely verify who they are.  If you question your status of an active warrant, contact your local police department or sheriffs office, they'll be glad to assist you.  Stay aware, stay alert, stay safe!
