NLCRPD dispatched by LCWC to a residence in the 400 block of Crosswinds Drive for a prowler in progress call. Reporting party stated that a white male approximately 5'7”, 175 pounds, brown hair, navy blue jacket, and navy-blue pants attempted to make entry into the reporting party's residence through the front door.
Caller stated that she was seated on her couch in the living room on the first floor when she could hear her unsecured front door open. Caller stated that she owns two dogs and one of the dogs ran towards the front door when they heard the door open. She immediately got up from the couch and went to the front door which was left wide open. Burkey stated that she could see the subject running away from her property and go onto Crosswinds Drive towards Winding Way.
