The NLCRPD filed criminal charges against an adult male resident of Maryland in connection with the sexual assault and rape of a child while he was a visitor at an organized activity in Clay Township.
The offense was reported to the NLCRPD on September 29, 2018. GARCIA-PINEDA, JOSE ADILIO was identified as the person responsible for the sexual assault and rape, and was subsequently located at the request of NLCRPD investigators by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and placed into custody on immigration related violations. GARCIA-PINEDA, JOSE ADILIO was placed into the immigration wing of the York County Prison for detention pending further legal process.
This arrest was the product of a joint investigation by the NLCRPD, the Prince Georges County Maryland Police Department and DHS/ICE in conjunction with the Office of the Lancaster County District Attorneys Child Abuse Unit. The defendant remains incarcerated pending further disposition of these charges and other unrelated immigration violations.
