On Saturday, September 5, 2020 at 0639 hours, Officer Trevor St. Clair received a report of a reckless driver in the area of Water Street and Charlestown Road, Washington Boro. A few minutes later Officer St. Clair received a report that the reckless vehicle had struck two guardrails in the area of River Road and Anchor Road and got two flat tires as a result. Officer St. Clair responded and upon his arrival on scene he made contact with the driver identified as Logan Roush, 19, Elizabethtown. Roush had an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, had slurred speech, and had blood shot and glassy eyes. Officer St. Clair administered standardized field sobriety tests and Roush was unable to complete them with satisfactory results. He was placed under arrest and taken to the police station for a chemical test of his breath. He submitted to the chemical test and the results showed at the time of the test his BAC was .162%. Roush was released to a responsible adult at the police station. Officer St. Clair filed the following charges: Driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance (general impairment), driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance (highest rate), underage consumption of alcohol, and driving on roadways laned for traffic. These charges were filed at MDJ Keller's office.
