On Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 0455 hours, Officer Trevor St. Clair was dispatched to a crash that occurred at Prospect Road and Franklin Road. The witness stated it was a one car crash and that there was one female occupying the vehicle. Upon the Officer's arrival, he found a vehicle, a Kia Sportage off the roadway into an embankment. An unknown motorist stated he saw the driver of the vehicle walking northbound on Prospect Road. The Officer found a female walking and she would not stop after he activated his emergency lights. She continued to walk away from him until she stumbled and fell into the embankment on the side of the road. The female was identified as Morgan Riehl, 27, Gordonville. She stated she had been drinking Jamison and ginger but thought she was ok to drive. The Officer conducted standardized field sobriety testing and she failed to perform the tests satisfactory. She was asked to consent to a chemical test of her breath and she consented. The test showed the results as .183%BAC. She was turned over to a responsible party after testing was completed. Based on the Officer's investigation he filed charges of driving under the influence of alcohol (general impairment), driving under the influence of alcohol (highest rate), and driving on roadways laned for traffic. These charges were filed at MDJ Keller's office.
