Christopher M. Pizzola, age 24, of the 100 block of Kent Road, Lancaster, PA was charged with Simple Assault, Loitering and Prowling at Night Time, and Public Drunkenness by Officer Patrick O'Rourke. On Sunday, February 3, 2019 "Super Bowl Sunday" Manor Township Police were dispatched to Aroogas in the 100 block of South Centerville Road for a report of a fight. The police were dispatched at 2207 hours just after the Super Bowl had ended. It was reported that a male, later identified as Pizzola, had assaulted another patron in the bar and fled on foot. An employee of Aroogas was able to assist police by providing the suspect's last direction of travel. Officer O'Rourke and East Hempfield Officer Tyler Clisham were able to apprehend Pizzola after he ran through the backyards of the townhouses in Wood's Edge. Officer Clisham tracked Pizzola in the snow and found him hiding on a rear deck to the rear of Pine Bridge Lane. The 25 year old male victim suffered injuries to his face and elbows. Witnesses in Aroogas reported that Pizzola's attack on the victim was unprovoked. Pizzola knocked the victim off his bar stool and punched him several times in the head and dragged him down several steps. The victim refused medical treatment. Pizzola was committed to Lancaster County Prison after failing to post bail on the charges which were filed at MDJ Joshua Keller's office.
