On Monday, January 6, 2020 at about 2307 hours, Officer Pete Papadopoulos was dispatched to the area of the 200 block of Stonemill Road, Lancaster, to check on the welfare of a female. It was reported that the defendant, Cailen Herr, 19, Brownstown, would not let the female leave the residence. It was also reported that the female was afraid that Herr would beat her up again and the female stated Herr threatened to hurt her if she tried to contact police. Officers responded to that location and knocked on the door of the apartment. The female answered the door. She told the Officers that on January 6, 2020 at about 2200 hours she and Herr got into a verbal argument that turned physical. The female also reported that Herr stated he was going to punch her in the face and kill her and he wanted her to kill herself. The Officers observed a red mark on the victim’s neck and also observed damage to the bathroom wall and the broken necklace. Herr was taken into custody without incident. Based on Officer Papadopoulos’ investigation, he charged Herr with terroristic threats, simple assault, harassment, and two counts of criminal mischief.
