Christopher Michael Harris, age 32, of the 2600 block of Pike Lane, Lancaster, PA was charged with Firearms Not to be Carried without a License, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving Unregistered Vehicle, Operation of Vehicle without Valid Inspection, and Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked by Officer Andrew Long. On Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 1337 hours Officer Long was traveling on South Centerville Road near Stone Mill Road when he observed a blue VW Jetta operating with a 2018 inspection sticker. Upon running the registration plate he found it had expired 07/2018. Officer Long conducted a traffic stop at Columbia Avenue and Centerville Road and made contact with the driver who was identified as Harris. In addition to the traffic violations Harris was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and a .40 caliber Smith and Wesson handgun in the glove compartment. Harris was also wanted on an outstanding warrant for a DUI. He was taken into custody and taken to Lancaster County Prison for arraignment on the DUI warrant the new charges which were filed at MDJ Joshua Keller's office.
