Manheim Township Police are currently investigating a two-car crash which has one lane of Route 283 East closed at the split / intersection with Route 30 East.  Motorists should expect delays through this area and plan alternate routes of travel.  Updates will be broadcast when they become available.

As part of our ongoing dedication to target aggressive and unsafe driving, officers have just begun a speed monitoring detail in Manheim Township.  Please drive carefully, wear your seat belt, refrain from using your electronic device, and drive the posted speed limit.  We don't want to meet you roadside!

Jordan J. Yost, M/24, homeless, who was wanted on outstanding charges of Kidnapping, Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Kidnapping, Aggravated Assault, Robbery of Motor Vehicle, Theft By Unlawful Taking, Unlawful Restraint, and Terroristic Threats has been located and arrested.  He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge David P.

Officers with the Manheim Township Police just concluded a four-hour Buckle Up PA driving detail, which targeted Route 283.

Forty-one (41) vehicles were stopped resulting in forty-three (43) citations and two (2) written warnings.
