EXERCISE CAUTION DURING THIS HEAT WAVE!


Chief Rudzinski and officers from the Manheim Township Police Department are urging residents to keep an eye on neighbors, fellow family members, and friends, who do not have air conditioning or might have health conditions exasperated by heat.  During this heat wave, high temperatures and humidity are expected throughout this weekend.  If you have not seen a neighbor for some time or feel there is a problem, call 911 and request police to perform a welfare check on their behalf!

Buch Avenue in Manheim Township will be closed for the majority of today, Wednesday, July 17, 2019, for road surface paving.  Motorists are encouraged to avoid this area and plan for an alternate route of travel.  The roadway will re-open by the end of the day.  As always, please drive safely!

The incident from earlier has been cleared. All lanes of Route 30 West are now open. Please drive safely!

Officers are on scene of an incident which occurred on Route 30 West at the New Holland Pike overpass. The incident has caused the roadway to shut and all traffic is being diverted off the bypass and onto New Holland Pike. Motorists should avoid this area and expect traffic delays. Updates will be provided as they become available.

The Lancaster Township Road Crew has shut Abbeyville Road between Schoolhouse Road and Passey Lane for construction.  The roadway will remain closed until 4:00 p.m. today.  A detour route is in place.  Motorists are encouraged to plan an alternate route of travel.

TRAFFIC ALERT!

A tree service crew has once again been called to Cottage Aveune in Lancaster Township to perform cutting work.  As a result, Cottage Avenue between Jamaica Road and East Orange street will again be closed from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. today.  Motorists should avoid this area and plan an alternate route of travel.
