Manheim Township Emergency Services are responding to a commercial motor vehicle crash involving an overturned vehicle.  The ramp from Route 222 South to Route 30 West is currently closed.  Please use alternative routes until further notice.

UPDATE: As of 2:18 pm the left lane only has been opened.  Traffic will be allowed to pass slowly.


Route 222 south is closed just south of the Oregon Pk exit due to a crash.  Police are on scene reporting a three-vehicle crash including 1 vehicle on its side.  Please be prepared for delays!!

On Tuesday, September 27, 2022, PPL will be moving a large transformer  from Columbia to a location in Penn Twp just south of Manheim.   The route of travel will utilize Rt 30 East and Fruitville Pk in Manheim Township.  The trip will begin at approximately 9am and could take up to 8 hours to complete.   A police escort will be provided the entire way, but expect significant traffic delays along the route.   Note:  PPL did not advise if this transformer is an Autobot or Decepticon.

Update 09:14 AM: Traffic has been moved out of the travel lanes and the roadway is now open to traffic.


Manheim Township police are investigating a major crash on Route 283 East bound between Manheim Pike and Route 30. A commercial vehicle is involved and initial reports indicate a hazmat issue. Expect road closure for an undetermined amount of time. Please make alternate plans.

East Roseville Road will be closed between Lititz Pike and Sterling Place today (8/12/22).  A detour will be in place.

Route 222 southbound is closed at the Oregon Pike exit. Manheim Township Police are conducting a fatal crash investigation. More information to be released in the future.

Update: 08:50 am. The ramp has been cleared and Route 222 is now open!!


Traffic Alert: Route 222 southbound shut down at Oregon Pike Exit.

A tractor-trailer has jackknifed on the ramp from Route 222 South to Route 30 West.  The entire ramp is blocked, and traffic is being detoured off the Route 222 South Oregon Pike Exit.  Emergency crews are on scene and currently attempting to mitigate fuel leakage.  Please plan accordingly and take an alternative route if possible.

UPDATE: ROUTE 222 IS OPEN

There is a multi-vehicle crash on Route 222 that has shut down the southbound lanes.  All traffic is being detoured off the Oregon Pike exit.  Initial reports are 4-5 vehicles including a box truck on its side, a tractor-trailer, and spilled fluids covering the roadway.  Officers are en route.

TRAFFIC ALERT AS OF 3:30 P.M., THURSDAY, APRIL 28TH, 2022


Manheim Township Police are on the scene of a tractor trailer vehicle fire in the 2800 block of Lititz Pike in Manheim Township.  As a result, Lititz Pike / Route 501 is now closed in both directions (north and south), between Oregon Road (Route 772) and Valley Road in Neffsville.  The roadway will be closed for approximately one hour as crews douse the fire and remove the vehicle.  Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes of travel, and avoid this area.
