During the early morning hours of April 26, 2019, Miguel Anthony Alvarado, M/32, of Reading, PA, and two (2) other individuals entered four (4) vehicles located in Manheim Township with the intent of stealing items housed inside. The locations of the vehicles were the 600 block of Paxton Place, the 100 block of Pulte Road, and the 2800 block of Pebblebrook Drive. Numerous items, totaling $1,627.50, were taken, to include two (2) bank cards. Alvarado and another person then successfully used the bank cards to make $39.56 worth of purchases at two (2) separate locations in York County. Alvarado and another person then twice attempted to use the cards to purchase $3,390.75 worth of merchandise from a third store in York County. These transactions were declined.
On Thursday, August 1, 2019, detectives filed the following set of charges against Alvarado: Four (4) Counts Access Device Fraud / Four (4) Counts Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Access Device Fraud / Four (4) Counts Theft From Motor Vehicle / Four (4) Counts Criminal Conspiracy to Commit Theft From Motor Vehicle. A warrant for his arrest was obtained and he remains a wanted person at this time.
