Two New Officers Graduate the Police Academy and Five New Officers are Sworn in to Serve Our Community!
Chief Rudzinski is pleased to announce the swearing in of five new Manheim Township Police Officers:
- Officer Quinn Fry
- Officer Wesley Hiller
- Officer Adam Lawson
- Officer Michael Tappen
- Officer Marc Wiczkowski
All five officers were ceremoniously sworn in at the Manheim Township Board of Commissioners' meeting, held Monday, September 13th, 2021, at the Manheim Township Public Library.
Officer Quinn Fry
Officer Fry started employment with the Manheim Township Police Department on February 1, 2021, after putting himself through the police academy training at his own expense. After completing field training at the police department, Officer Fry was assigned to the 1st platoon, under the supervision of Sergeant Echternach, where he serves as a patrol officer.
Officer Wesley Hiller
Officer Hiller started employment with the Manheim Township Police Department on July 15, 2021, while attending the 119th Harrisburg Area Community College Police Academy. Officer Hiller graduated from the academy, with Officer Marc Wiczkowski, on Thursday, September 2, 2021, and returned to the police department to serve in the Patrol Division. Officer Hiller is currently assigned to field training on the 4th platoon, under the supervision of Sergeant Myers.
Officer Adam Lawson
Officer Lawson started employment with the Manheim Township Police Department on March 22, 2021, after putting himself through the police academy training at his own expense. After completing field training at the police department, Officer Lawson was assigned to the 2nd platoon, under the supervision of Sergeant Naff, where he serves as a patrol officer.
Officer Michael Tappen
Officer Tappen started employment with the Manheim Township Police Department on March 22, 2021, after putting himself through the police academy training at his own expense. After completing field training at the police department, Officer Tappen was assigned to the 3rd platoon, under the supervision of Sergeant Nolt, where he serves as a patrol officer.
Officer Marc Wiczkowski
Officer Wiczkowski started employment with the Manheim Township Police Department on March 8, 2021, as a police academy cadet. The department sent Officer Wiczkowski to the Harrisburg Area Community College Police Academy, where he joined the 119th class. Officer Wiczkowski was named president of the 119th academy class, and graduated with Officer Hiller on Thursday, September 2, 2021. He then returned to the police department to serve in the Patrol Division. Officer Wiczkowski is currently assigned to field training on the 1st platoon, under the supervision of Sergeant Echternach.
