Manheim Township Police Department's Campaign to Remind Citizens to Secure Their Valuables
The Manheim Township Police Department is initiating a new campaign to protect property…LIKE IT? / LOCK IT! The department has created magnets to remind citizens to lock their houses, sheds, and most importantly, their vehicles. In 2017 alone, the Manheim Township Police Department responded to over 200 incidents of thefts from motor vehicles, resulting in thousands of dollars of loss. More than 95% of those vehicles were unlocked. One of the goals of the police department for 2018 is to significantly reduce the number of these thefts.
Beginning in May 2018, the LIKE IT? / LOCK IT! logo will begin to be seen in various formats, to include magnets and advertisements. Magnets are available to the public for free. They will also be distributed at various neighborhood block parties, gatherings, and social events. Any person interested in obtaining a magnet may do so by stopping at the Manheim Township Police Station between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., or by contacting Officer Natalie Littlehale at email@example.com.
The department may also be running a contest over the summer to see just who is advertising our logo!
