#ColorYourWorldSafe Project Winners Announcement!

During the summer of 2019, the Manheim Township Police Department announced its first #ColorYourWorldSafe program where the department provided internet links to an online coloring book, which featured pages that showcase safety for children, ages 5-10.  This program gave parents an opportunity to speak with their child/ren about various ways to stay safe, while making a serious topic kid-friendly.  From July 1st through August 26th, the department posted a new link from the online coloring book every Monday.  This program consisted of eight (8) total weeks, which featured eight (8) separate pages.  Numerous children participated in the program and submitted their artwork to the police department.  On Tuesday, August 27th, 2019, three (3) children were declared winners and their artwork was to be put on display.

Conner K., age 6, of Manheim Township
Ian K., age 8, of Manheim Township
Sahil M., age 6, of Manheim Township

All of the children were notified that they won the contest and were to be awarded a private pizza party with MT police officers, as well as a personalized tour of the police station and patrol vehicle.

The winning artwork is currently on display in the lobby of the police station.  It is also listed below as a PDF.

Congratulations Conner, Ian, and Sahil!  Thanks for participating in #ColorYourWorldSafe!
