Bucher Elementary School Girls On The Run Gives Thank You Gift to MTPD

On Wednesday, May 16, 2018, the Manheim Township Police Department received a thank you gift from the Bucher Elementary School Girls on the Run team.  The team presented the department with a "survival kit for first responders."  The kit included:
     * Lifesavers - To remind officers of the many times we have been one.
     * Smarties - To give officers wisdom for split second decisions.
     * Starbursts - For the burst of energy we need.
     * Hershey's Kisses - To show love to officers.
     * Gum - To help everyone stick together.
     * Tootsie Rolls - To help officers roll with the punches.
     * Peppermint Patties - To help officers keep their cool.
     * Pay Day - Because officers don't do it for the money.
     * Laffy Taffy - To remind officers that laughter is a great stress reliever.

The gift was accepted by Officer Littlehale on behalf of the police department.  MTPD is very appreciative for the candy and sweet message from the team - a special thank you to team coach Stephanie Gerber for arranging this presentation to the department.  MTPD wishes the Bucher Elementary School Girls on the Run team good luck on their race this upcoming Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Franklin & Marshall College!
