ARRESTS

1.  Harboring a Dangerous Dog / Failure to Control Dog Arrest, 7:30 p.m., Sunday, August 26, 2018, 2700 block Graystone Road (EP) – Tiffanie L. Howard, F/39, of East Petersburg, PA, was charged with the above offenses after her dog left her property and was observed running loose on her neighbor’s property.  While running loose, the dog attacked a human without provocation and bit them upon the leg.  Two (2) citations were filed.

2.  Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Arrest, 8:08 p.m., Monday, September 10, 2018, 200 block Eden Road (MT) – Justin M. Geesey, M/22, of Gordonville, PA, was charged with the above offense following a disturbance investigation.  Geesey’s backpack was searched which yielded four (4) needles, a glass smoking pipe, glassine baggies, and several containers used to store drug material.  A criminal complaint was filed.

3.  Criminal Mischief Arrest, 6:34 p.m., Sunday, July 29, 2018, 1400 block Manor House Lane (LT) – James L. Thedford, Jr., M/21, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense after he broke the passenger side mirror of a vehicle.  Total loss: $295.00.  A citation was filed.

4.  Simple Assault / Endangering Welfare of Children / Terroristic Threats / Resisting Arrest / Disorderly Conduct Arrest, 10:40 p.m., Monday, September 10, 2018, 600 block McGrann Boulevard (MT) – Chandra B. Budhathoki, M/30, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a domestic dispute at his residence.  During the altercation, Budhathoki struck his wife and their two (2) children with a plastic stick which caused injuries.  Budhathoki then grabbed a large butcher knife and threatened to kill everyone inside the home.  Budhathoki also threw a plastic chair at his wife while she was holding their infant child.  When officers arrived, they attempted to arrest Budhathoki.  He physically fought with officers by kicking and pulling his arms away in an attempt to refuse arrest.  He was processed and taken to Central Arraignment.

5.  Retail Theft / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Arrest, 2:30 a.m., Sunday, September 2, 2018, 1360 Columbia Avenue – Giant Food Store (LT) – Thomas Christopher Fortis, M/35, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense after he was observed stealing $26.17 worth of merchandise from the store.  Four (4) days later, Fortis was located and taken into custody for the above theft.  During a search incident to arrest, officers located two (2) hypodermic needles and one (1) glassine baggie containing a white powdery substance.  He was taken to Central Arraignment.

6.  Retail Theft Arrest, 6:29 p.m., Monday, June 25, 2018, 1204 Millersville Pike – Weis Markets (LT) – Corey James Calderwood, M/37, homeless, was charged with the above offense after he was observed stealing $176.64 worth of merchandise from the store.  A criminal complaint was filed.

7.  Retail Theft Arrests, 1204 Millersville Pike – Weis Markets (LT) – Robin R. Kirkland, F/42, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following an investigation into two (2) thefts.
- At 8:50 a.m., Saturday, July 7, 2018, Kirkland was observed stealing $81.47 worth of merchandise from the store.
- At 6:19 p.m., Monday, July 16, 2018, Kirkland was observed stealing $58.98 worth of merchandise from the store.
Two (2) citations were filed.

8.  Discharge of Firearm into an Occupied Structure / Recklessly Endangering Another Person Arrest, 4:55 p.m., Thursday, November 2, 2017, 2700 block Old Orchard Road (MT) – David Allen Sterling, M/53, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offenses after he caused a firearm to discharge inside his home and enter the home of his neighbor.  Occupants of the neighboring home heard a loud noise and found a glass window shattered in the lower level family room.  Four (4) children were in the lower level family room at the time the bullet entered through the window.  Two (2) children were sitting on the sectional sofa and two (2) children were playing on the floor in front of the sofa.  A 9mm bullet was found within the cushions of the sofa.  Sterling was found in possession of a 9mm handgun that was tested and found to be a functional weapon.  A criminal complaint was filed and Sterling surrendered to police.  He was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge David P. Miller who set his bail at $10,000.00 unsecured.  Sterling was released while he awaits his preliminary hearing.

CRIMES & INCIDENTS

1.  Criminal Mischief, September 9-10, 2018, 6100 block Main Street (EP) – Unknown person/s slashed two (2) tires of a vehicle as it sat parked overnight.  Total loss: $250.00.

2.  Theft From Motor Vehicle, 12:00-1:00 a.m., Sunday, September 9, 2018, 1300 block Hillcrest Road (LT) – Unknown person/s entered an unlocked vehicle and stole $20.00 in cash.

3.  Theft From Motor Vehicle, 3:00-4:00 p.m., Friday, September 7, 2018, 2042 Lititz Pike – Overlook Campus Park (MT) – Unknown person/s entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a wallet and contents.  Total loss: $715.00.

4.  Theft, 9:15-9:45 a.m., Sunday, September 9, 2018, 245 Bloomfield Drive – Float Yoga (MT) – Unknown person/s entered the business and stole a laptop.  Total loss: $1,000.00.

5.  Theft From Motor Vehicle, September 10-11, 2018, 900 block Pleasure Road (MT) – Unknown person/s entered an unlocked vehicle but no items were taken.

6.  Theft From Motor Vehicle, September 10-11, 2018, 900 block Louise Avenue (MT) – Unknown person/s entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a cell phone and a debit card.  The debit card was later used to make fraudulent purchases.  Investigation continues.

7.  Theft From Motor Vehicle, September 10-11, 2018, 1900 block Oregon Pike (MT) – Unknown person/s entered an unlocked vehicle and stole $179.50 worth of property.
