ARRESTS

1.  Harassment Arrest, 10:28 p.m., Friday, April 19, 2019, 2030 Fruitville Pike – Walmart (MT) – Zachary S. Ness, M/28, of Manheim, PA, was charged with the above offense after he chest-bumped another person during an argument at the store.  A citation was filed.

2.  Harassment Arrest, 1:02 p.m., Sunday, April 2, 2019, 1100 block Jamaica Road (LT) – Jasmine Sandra Colon, F/23, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a domestic dispute at her residence.  During the altercation, Colon struck the victim.  A citation was filed.

3.  DUI Arrest, 10:10 p.m., Monday, April 22, 2019, Route 30 West at York Road (MT) – Bradley T. Buckwalter, M/56, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a traffic stop for a red-light violation.  Buckwalter exhibited signs of impairment and officers observed open been containers inside the vehicle.  He was arrested and chemical testing yielded a BAC of 0.10%.  A criminal complaint was filed.

4.  Underage Drinking Arrests, 8:35 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2019, 222 Eden Road – Eden Resort Inn (MT) – Eduard G. Cruz La Paz, M/18, of Lancaster, PA, and Madison E. Velez, F/19, of Bird In Hand, PA, were charged with the above offense following a disturbance at the hotel.  Officers responded to a room and smelled marijuana.  Contact was made with the occupants Cruz La Paz and Velez.  Officers found marijuana in Cruz La Paz’s possession and several bottles of alcohol inside the room.  A criminal complaint was filed against Cruz La Paz for Possession of Marijuana and Underage Drinking.  A citation was filed against Velez for Underage Drinking.

5.  Harassment Arrest, 3:50 p.m., Sunday, April 21, 2019, 6051 Pine Street – East Petersburg Community Park (EP) – Melinda Ann Ortiz, F/32, of East Petersburg, PA, was charged with the above offense after she struck another person in the back of the head with an open hand.  A citation was filed.

6.  Possession of Marijuana Arrest, 1:29 p.m., Sunday, April 21, 2019, Riverside Avenue (LT) – Jasir S. Warren, M/18, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a traffic stop for suspicious activity.  Officers searched Warren’s vehicle which yielded marijuana.  A criminal complaint was filed.

7.  Possession of Marijuana / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Arrest, 2:25 p.m., Friday, April 19, 2019, 1200 block Millersville Pike (LT) – Nikolas A. Piccirillo-Figueroa, M/19, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offenses following a traffic stop for an inoperable brake lamp.  Officers searched Piccirillo-Figueroa’s vehicle which yielded marijuana.  A criminal complaint was filed.

8.  Possession of Marijuana Arrest, 9:59 a.m., Tuesday, April 23, 2019, Route 30 West at Mile Marker 264.5 (MT) – Veronica N. Hooper, F/27, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a crash investigation.  Hooper was identified as a party in that crash.  While officers were investigating the incident, they detected marijuana inside her vehicle.  A criminal complaint was filed.

9.  DUI Arrest, 2:37 a.m., Sunday, April 14, 2019, 1000 block Columbia Avenue (LT) – Yazheel Moises Bencosme, M/27, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a traffic stop for speeding.  Bencosme exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested.  Chemical testing yielded a BAC of 0.196%. 

10.  Public Drunkenness Arrest, 12:59 a.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2019, Marietta Avenue at North President Avenue (LT) – Nathaniel Johnson, Jr., M/24, of Harrisburg, PA, was charged with the above offense after he was observed unconscious and lying in several bushes at the side of the road.  Johnson, Jr. had consumed a large quantity of alcohol.  A citation was filed.

11.  Indecent Exposure / Disorderly Conduct / Public Drunkenness Arrest, 9:26 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2019, 1246 Millersville Pike – Regal Cinema (LT) – Ricardo Guevara, M/45, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offenses after he was observed manifestly under the influence of alcohol in a public place.  Guevara was yelling and cursing loudly, which alarmed others in the area.  Guevara was also seen exposing his genitals and urinating in the parking lot, which alarmed others in the area.  A criminal complaint was filed.

12.  Theft By Unlawful Taking Arrest, 2:57 a.m., Saturday, March 23, 2019, 806 New Holland Avenue – Turkey Hill (MT) – Jose Alfonso Rivera, Jr., M/29, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following an investigation into employee theft.  Rivera, Jr. stole $596.02 worth of merchandise while employed at the store.  A criminal complaint was filed.

13.  Possession of Cocaine / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia / Public Drunkenness Arrest, 2:05 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2019, 1605 Lititz Pike – Giant Food Store (MT) – Tyler Michael Steffy, M/30, of Lititz, PA, was charged with the above offenses after he overdosed on heroin in the bathroom of the grocery store.  Officers found Steffy in possession of three (3) baggies of heroin, one (1) baggie of methamphetamine, and a hypodermic needle.  A criminal complaint was filed.

14.  Retail Theft Arrest, 11:05 a.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2019, 1605 Lititz Pike – Giant Food Store (MT) – Luz Linette Saez, F/27, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense after she was observed stealing $175.89 worth of baby formula inside a shopping basket, valued at $10.00.  Saez left the store with the merchandise and the basket.  She was arrested, processed, and taken to Central Arraignment.

CRIMES & INCIDENTS

1.  Selective Traffic Enforcement Detail, 8:45 to 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 19, 2019, Route 222 North (MT) – Officers performed a selective traffic enforcement detail in Manheim Township as part of the PA Aggressive Driving Campaign.  Officers targeted this location which statistically experiences a high volume of crashes.  During this time period, fifteen (15) motorists were stopped resulting in six (6) citations and eleven (11) written warnings for various moving and equipment violations.

2.  Vehicle Theft, April 19-20, 2019, Willis Lane (LT) – Unknown person/s stole a red 2015 Nissan Altima which sat parked overnight in front of a residence.  The vehicle was later recovered in Lancaster City.  Total loss: $15,000.00.  Investigation continues.

3.  Vehicle Theft, April 17-20, 2019, 1000 block North Lime Street (MT) – Unknown person/s stole a Red 1999 Ford Contour which sat parked in the area.  The vehicle was unlocked and the keys were inside the glovebox.  Total loss: $2,000.00.  Investigation continues.

4.  Theft By Deception, 6:51 p.m., Saturday, April 20, 2019, 100 block Jennings Drive (LT) – Unknown person/s received $600.00 in eBay gift cards after the victim sent them thinking they were purchasing a vehicle.  The sale had originally been posted on Craigslist.

5.  Forgery, 3:30-3:45 p.m., Sunday, April 21, 2019, 1408 Lititz Pike – Burger King (MT) – An unknown black male passed two (2) counterfeit $20.00 bills at the restaurant.  Investigation continues.

6.  Theft, April 21-22, 2019, 500 block Candlewyck Road (MT) – Unknown person/s stole an unknown make/model bicycle from the front yard of a residence.  Total loss: $160.00.

7.  Theft of Lost or Mislaid Property, 5:15 to 11:30 a.m., Monday, April 22, 2019, 1480 Manheim Pike – Arconic (MT) – Unknown person/s stole a black Samsung Galaxy S9 cell phone after the owner lost it while at work.  Total loss: $700.00.

8.  Burglary, April 22-23, 2019, Greenwood Avenue (LT) – Unknown person/s entered a residence during the overnight hours when the owners were upstairs.  Electronics and a wallet were taken.  Total loss: $730.00.

9.  Criminal Mischief, 3:55 to 4:05 p.m., Tuesday, April 23, 2019, 800 block Skyline Drive (MT) – An unknown black male jumped onto the roof of a vehicle and smashed the windshield with his elbow.  Total loss: $150.00.  The male then fled the area.

10.  Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police Officer, 7:07 p.m., Tuesday, April 23, 2019, 1500 block Lititz Pike (MT) – An officer initiated a traffic stop on a red 2008 Honda Civic for an inspection sticker infraction.  When the officer exited his vehicle, the vehicle fled from the traffic stop at a high rate of speed.  The officer did not pursue.  The driver was a younger black or Hispanic male.  Investigation continues.
