ARRESTS

1.  DUI / Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Arrest, 8:39 p.m., Thursday, August 8, 2019, Marietta Avenue at Wilson Drive (LT) – Buzz Lamar Halterman, M/33, of Marietta, PA, was charged with the above offense following a crash investigation involving one (1) vehicle into a tree.  Halterman was found unconscious and pinned behind the steering wheel.  Officers observed a glassine baggie in plain view and suspected Halterman to be under the influence of heroin.  Narcan was administered to Halterman, which revived him.  Once Halterman was extricated from the vehicle officers observed an uncapped hypodermic needle on the driver’s seat; Halterman also admitted to using heroin just prior to the crash.  Chemical testing of Halterman’s blood yielded the presence of amphetamine, methamphetamine, morphine, monoacetylmorphine, fentanyl, and norfentanyl.  A criminal complaint was filed.

2.  Public Drunkenness Arrest, 12:07 p.m., Thursday, August 22, 2019, 100 block Jennings Drive (LT) – Jose A. Santos, Jr., M/48, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense after he overdosed on heroin in a public place which alarmed others in the area.  A citation was issued.

3.  Stalking / False Reports to Law Enforcement Arrest, 8:59 a.m., Friday, August 16, 2019, Deep Hollow Lane (LT) – Adam Corey Emerick, M/33, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offenses after he reported a false criminal incident.  Officers were dispatched to a residence to take a theft report from “Jose Rodriguez.”  “Jose” provided information over the telephone which implicated another male and female in the theft incident.  Officers responded to the residence and made contact with the homeowner who reported no theft occurred nor knew anyone named “Jose Rodriguez.”  Officers investigated the call and determined that Emerick was responsible for it and made the report as way to harass and annoy his ex-girlfriend, who resided at the addressed where they were dispatched.  A criminal complaint was filed and an arrest warrant obtained.  Emerick remains a wanted person at this time.  Any person knowing the whereabouts of Emerick should call the Manheim Township Police Department at 717-569-6401 or provide information anonymously by clicking “Submit a Tip.”
