ARRESTS

1.  Harassment / Disorderly Conduct Arrest, 2:30 p.m., Monday, July 1, 2019, 1280 Lititz Pike – Dollar Tree (MT) – Nechma I. Torres-Pagan, F/33, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offenses after she engaged in a fight inside the store.  During the altercation, Torres-Pagan struck the victim several times in the face and head.  The store was open for business at the time and her actions alarmed other patrons.  Two (2) citations were filed.

2.  Public Drunkenness Arrest, 2:03 a.m., Friday, June 28, 2019, 1360 Columbia Avenue – Giant Food Store (LT) – Michael E. Root, M/36, of Ephrata, PA, was charged with the above offense after he was observed causing a disturbance in the parking lot of the store while under the influence of synthetic marijuana.  A citation was filed.

3.  Public Drunkenness Arrest, 8:21 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2019, 1360 Columbia Avenue – Giant Food Store (LT) – Douglas Alan Givler, M/52, of Washington Boro, PA, was charged with the above offense after he was observed unconscious on the sidewalk in front of the store.  Givler was heavily under the influence of alcohol and admitted to consuming numerous cans of beer.  A citation was filed.

4.  Scattering Rubbish (Littering) Arrest, 6:09 p.m., Tuesday, June 25, 2019, 900 block Hamilton Park Drive (LT) – Chase S. Thomas, M/30, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense after he was observed dumping a refrigerator at the dead end of the street.  A citation was filed.

5.  Possession of Marijuana Arrest, 3:05 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2019, Dillerville Road at Harrisburg Pike (MT) – Orlando DeJesus Cortez, M/36, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a traffic stop for an inspection sticker infraction.  Officers searched Cortez’s vehicle which yielded marijuana.  A criminal complaint was filed.

6.  Harassment Arrest, 8:23 a.m., Saturday, June 29, 2019, 100 block Granite Run Drive (MT) – Yako T. C. McKnight, M/23, of Kinston, NC, was charged with the above offense following a domestic dispute.  During the altercation, McKnight shoved and slapped the victim.  A citation was issued.

7.  Harassment Arrest, 12:49 a.m., Sunday, June 30, 2019, 600 block McGrann Boulevard (MT) – Larry A. Frey, M/65, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a domestic dispute.  During the altercation, Frey repeatedly knocked on the door of the victim’s residence and blew his vehicle horn in the driveway in order to force the victim to speak with him.  A citation was issued.

8.  DUI Arrest, 11:16 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2019, 1700 block Lititz Pike (MT) – Sarah Maria Kirchner, F/31, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a traffic stop for erratic driving.  Kirchner exhibited signs of extreme impairment to the degree that she could not stand without assistance.  Kirchner was arrested and refused chemical testing.  A criminal complaint was filed.

9.  Retail Theft Arrest, 2:31 p.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2019, 1605 Lititz Pike – Giant Food Store (MT) – Krista L. Margarite, F/35, of West Chester, PA, was charged with the above offense after she was observed stealing $282.74 worth of baby formula from the store.  Margarite was identified following a lengthy investigation of similar incidents throughout Lancaster County.  A criminal complaint was filed.

10.  Retail Theft Arrests (MT & LT) – Uladimit Mercado-Ortiz, M/43, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following two (2) shoplifting incidents:
- 11:12 a.m., Sunday, June 23, 2019, 1605 Lititz Pike – Giant Food Store (MT) – Mercado-Ortiz was observed stealing $350.34 worth of merchandise from the store.  He fled prior to police arrival.
- 3:14 p.m., Sunday, June 23, 2019, 1204 Millersville Pike – Weis Markets (LT) – Mercado-Ortiz was observed stealing $185.35 worth of merchandise from the store.  Officers quickly arrived on scene and placed Mercado-Ortiz under arrest. 
- Mercado-Ortiz was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge David P. Miller for the incident which occurred in MT.  Bail was set at $25,000.00. Mercado-Ortiz was also arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Mary M. Sponaugle for the incident which occurred in LT.  Bail was set at $15,000.00.  Mercado-Ortiz was unable to post bail for either of these incidents and was remanded to Lancaster County Prison to await his preliminary hearing.

11.  Retail Theft Arrests, 8:24 p.m., Monday, June 24, 2019, 1204 Millersville Pike – Weis Markets (LT) – Michael Curtis Gant, M/26, and Nicholas Willie Davila, M/22, both of Lancaster, PA were charged with the above offense after they were observed stealing $359.88 worth of merchandise from the store.  A criminal complaint was filed against each party and arrest warrants obtained.  Both Gant and Davila remain wanted persons at this time.  Any person knowing the whereabouts of either Gant or Davila should contact the Manheim Township Police Department at 717-569-6401 or provide information anonymously by clicking “Submit a Tip.”

12.  Simple Assault / Harassment Arrest, 2:08 a.m., Tuesday, July 02, 2019, 2600 block Lititz Pike (MT) – Victor Manuel Lopez, M/39, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a domestic dispute at his residence.  During the altercation, Lopez punched the victim in the center of the forehead and on the forearm, which caused injury.  Lopez was arrested, processed, and taken to Central Arraignment.

CRIMES & INCIDENTS

1.  Retail Theft, 8:30 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2019, 2030 Fruitville Pike – Walmart (MT) – Three (3) unknown females altered the tags on clothing by replacing them with sticker price tags from clothing of a lesser value.  The three (3) females then went through the self-check-out and paid for less than they should have.  Total loss: $16.09.  Investigation continues.

2.  Burglary, June 28 to 29, 2019, 301 Golf Drive – Overlook Roller Rink (MT) – Unknown person/s entered the roller rink overnight and stole money from the change and game machines.  Total loss: $290.00.  Investigation continues.

3.  Vehicle Theft, June 28 to 29, 2019, 1000 block Hamilton Park Drive (LT) – Unknown person/s stole a maroon 2008 Buick Lacrosse as it sat parked overnight.  Total loss: $4,500.00.  Investigation continues.

4.  Retail Theft, 9:12 a.m., Saturday, June 29, 2019, 1234 Millersville Pike – Fine Wine & Good Spirits (LT) – An unknown female stole $7.99 worth of wine from the store.

5.  Access Device Fraud, June 28, 2019, Danbury Road (MT) – Unknown person/s accessed the victim’s debit card and used it to make $298.24 worth of fraudulent purchases.  Investigation continues.

6.  Theft of Motor Vehicle Parts or Accessories, June 28 to 29, 2019, 900 block North President Avenue (LT) – Unknown person/s stole the registration plate from a vehicle which sat parked overnight.  Total loss: $11.00.

7.  Theft, June 21 to 22, 2019, 1100 block North Lefever Drive (MT) – Unknown person/s stole a basketball rim from the community basketball court.  Total loss: $200.00.

8.  Theft of Lost or Mislaid Property, 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 30, 2019, 2020 Fruitville Pike – Chuck E Cheese (MT) – Unknown person/s stole an Apple iPhone 7 after the victim accidentally left it in the bathroom.  Total loss: $250.00.
