ARRESTS
1. Possession of Marijuana Arrest, 4:16 p.m., Friday, January 22, 2021, Columbia Avenue at Wilson Drive (LT) – Arianna N. Pack, F/21, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a traffic stop for suspected drug activity. Officers searched Pack’s vehicle, which yielded marijuana. A criminal complaint was filed.
2. Harassment Arrest, 10:55 p.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2021, 1900 block Rachael Drive (MT) – Arthur N. Moshos, M/59, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a domestic dispute at his residence. During the altercation, Moshos struck another person in the mouth with his fist, causing an injury to the victim’s upper lip. A citation was filed.
3. Criminal Trespass Arrest, 2:24 p.m., Saturday, January 23, 2021, 170 Charles Road – St. Joseph’s Cemetery (LT) – Daniel J. Burdine, M/42, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense after he was observed on the property of the cemetery, having passed numerous “no trespassing” signs and a fence. A citation was issued.
4. Possession of Marijuana Arrest, 8:18 a.m., Saturday, January 23, 2021, Barron Drive (LT) – Lenz N. Remarque, M/20, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a traffic stop for suspected drug activity. Officers searched Remarque’s vehicle, which yielded marijuana. A criminal complaint was filed.
5. Harassment Arrest, 11:29 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2021, 100 block Delp Road (MT) – Samuel C. Hoffman, M/63, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a domestic dispute at his residence. During the altercation, Hoffman punched another person on the side of their jaw two (2) times. A citation was filed.
6. Disorderly Conduct, 1:31 p.m., Thursday, January 21, 2021, 500 block Kensington Road (LT) – Kevin M. Gunyanyi, M/38, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense after he was observed yelling at screaming at others, and dumped a can full of cigarettes all over. A citation was filed.
7. Possession of Marijuana Arrests, 10:18 a.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2021, 1000 Columbia Avenue - Sunoco (MT) – Jayson Morales-Colon, M/35, and Yazmin Z. Torres-Colon, both of Lancaster, PA, were charged with the above offense after Morales-Colon walked into the store, smelling strongly of marijuana. An officer happened to be in the store at the same time and noticed the smell. Morales-Colon exited the store and approached a vehicle. The officer stopped him and when questioned, Morales-Colon produced a baggie of marijuana and handed it to the officer. The officer then searched the vehicle, which was occupied by Torres-Colon. The second search yielded additional marijuana. A criminal complaint was filed against each party.
8. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia Arrest, 11:29 p.m., Monday, January 25, 2021, 100 block Delp Road (MT) – Sharon L. Moshos, F/56, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a domestic dispute at her residence. During the altercation, officers asked Moshos for consent to search her purse. Consent was granted and officers located cotton balls and a small metal container with an off-white powder residue upon it, suspected of being either methamphetamine or heroin. A criminal complaint was filed.
9. DUI Arrest, 7:10 p.m., Friday, January 1, 2021, 900 block Columbia Avenue (LT) – Edward R. Garza, M/35, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offense following a crash investigation. Garza was identified as a driver in that crash and exhibited signs of impairment. Garza also admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages prior to the crash. A blood sample was obtained from Garza, which yielded Methamphetamine, Amphetamine, Oxycodone, and Norfentanyl. A criminal complaint was filed.
10. Burglary / Loitering and Prowling at Nighttime Arrest, 1:52 a.m., Thursday, January 28, 2021, 800 block Helen Avenue (MT) – Anthony D. Yelverton, M/39, of Lancaster, PA, was charged with the above offenses after he was observed attempted to gain entry into an occupied residence via the backdoor. Yelverton fled prior to gaining entry into the home. Officers descended into the area and located Yelverton a short distance away. The residence had a home surveillance camera system, which showed Yelverton being the person who attempted entry into the home. He was arrested, processed, and taken to Central Arraignment.
1. Retail Theft, 3:03 p.m., Saturday, January 23, 2021, 1565 Fruitville Pike – Fine Wine & Good Spirits (MT) – Two (2) unknown females entered the store and stole $57.97 worth of hard liquor before fleeing the area.
2. Theft By Deception, 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2021, 2100 block Coventry Road (MT) – Unknown person/s convinced the victim they were representatives from PPL Electric Utilities and instructed the victim to pay them $360 using gift cards.
3. Theft By Deception, 6:00 p.m., Saturday, January 23, 2021, 1800 block Spring Ridge Lane (LT) – Unknown person/s convinced the victim they were representatives from Amazon and instructed the victim to pay them $3,000.00 using gift cards.
4. Burglary, 7:02 p.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2021, 900 block Fruitville Pike (MT) – Unknown person/s entered a garage and stole a purse. The garage had been converted into living quarters and rented out. Total loss: $100.00.
5. Selective Traffic Enforcement Detail, 8:35 to 9:05 a.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2021, 1001 Buckwalter Road – Reidenbaugh Elementary School (MT) – Officers performed a speed check in the 15 MPH special speed zone (school) following a complaint from parents regarding vehicles traveling too fast through the area. During this time period, three (3) vehicles were stopped, which resulted in three (3) traffic citations for Special Speed Limitations. The highest recorded speed was 39 MPH in this 15 MPH posted zone.
6. Selective Traffic Enforcement Detail, 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2021, West Roseville Road (MT) – Officers responded to perform a speed enforcement detail in this area. During this time period, four (4) vehicles were stopped resulting in four (4) written warnings for Maximum Speed Limits. The highest recorded speed was 49 MPH in this 35 MPH posted zone.
7. Selective Traffic Enforcement Detail, 3:30 to 4:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2021, 1001 Buckwalter Road – Reidenbaugh Elementary School (MT) – Officers performed a second speed check in the 15 MPH special speed zone (school) following a complaint from parents regarding vehicles traveling too fast through the area. During this time period, four (4) vehicles were stopped, which resulted in four (4) traffic citations and one (1) written warning for Special Speed Limitations. The highest recorded speed was 33 MPH in this 15 MPH posted zone.
8. Theft From Motor Vehicle, 12:30 to 1:45 p.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2021, 2074 Fruitville Pike – Hobby Lobby (MT) – Unknown person/s entered an unlocked vehicle parked at the store, and stole a tablet computer valued at $1,000.00.
